Abstract This article aims to show how the migration processes in Chile since the 90s have contributed, by entering into a transcultural process, to install new cultural manifestations that are redefined in our territory and acquire a local tinge. The Afro-Uruguayan rhythm Candombe was present in Chile in the mid-90s with the formation of a first comparsa. Currently the Comparsa, under the name of Sociedad Candombera Catanga, has an active presence in the Barrio Plaza Bogotá of our capital (Barrio Matta Sur), this work establishes from an auto-ethnographic perspective a work where the researcher is part of this musical practice in active form and that finally blends into the phenomenon.
