Aims and scope

The Revista de Geografía Espacios (RGE) is an open access academic journal, administrated by the Carrer of Geography  of the  School of Anthropology, Geography and History at Universidad Academia Humanismo Cristiano (UAHC-Chile) and sponsored by the Programa de Investigaciones e Intervenciones Territoriales (PIIT). The Research and Postgraduate Unit funds the Journal.

The Revista de Geografía Espacios is  aimed at the specialized scientific community  in different topics, representations and interpretations of the geographical space, understood as the essential analytical crossing unit in the study of society, its transformations and challenges.

The thematic coverage  of Revista de Geografía Espacio includes original and unpublished scientific research in the areas of physical and human Geography, with methodologies, results and discussions focused on the spatial tensions of the contemporary world. Analytic contributions, such as bibliometric, scientometric or theoretical discussion based on bibliographic reviews and applied to the different dimensions of the geographical space are very welcome. Finally, this journal welcomes manuscripts dedicated to theoretical contributions, essays as well as spatial techniques, as long as they contribute to an epistemological construction of the geographical space within the social sciences.

The Revista de Geografía Espacios publishes two issues a year, in the months of augst and january respectively, in which it publishes unpublished articles, evaluated by at least two external peers using the double-blind system ,according to the RGE Author Guideless. Selected articles in each issue are distributed between the Thematic Dossier section and Non-thematic articles as corresponds to the current issue. The journal also includes a non-permanent section for interviews and another for reviewing books. The reception of manuscripts is open throughout the year.

Manuscript submission languages in RGE are Spanish and Portuguese. All the manuscripts submitted to RGE must be novel and unpublished. The acceptance of the Author's guidelines will be assumed upon the act of submission.

No payments are required for publication, layout or other actions derived from the process of peer review, nor do costs apply for periodic subscriptions in electronic format.
